DanSeries Collective
Who We Are…
Caitlyn Schrader and kt williams join forces under the moniker DanSeries Collective.
They traverse creative disciplines through dance.
They believe in working with, in, and for their community.
They collect voices, ideas, and experiences that feed their process and result in a “series” of products.
Together they aim to challenge easy classifications of dance and performance.

The Disco Tailgate Series
The Disco Tailgate Series emerges from a shared interest in spectacle, virtuosity, absurdity, disco, communal joy, and socially-engaged performance practices. Inspired by American traditions of “gathering” (i.e. tailgating), DSC finds ways to celebrate the mundane, infra-ordinary, everyday moments that usually go unnoticed. In this series, by toying with absurdity and spectacle through a tailgating and disco lens, DSC will slowly reveal the pure delight of community coming together that often occurs in common, and sometimes the most obvious places one would least expect.
While Caitlyn and kt are currently based in two different geographic locations (NC + IL), the Disco Tailgate Series allows them to perform, experience joy, and “gather” alone, together.
“As if life reveals itself only by way of the spectacular.”
